Add Claims Information to Files

You can add Claims-related information to Delayed, On-Hand, or Damaged Bag Files.

You can do this by updating the Claims tab in a file, or by using one of the Claims transactions.

Various Claims dates are recorded in the file details.

Add Claims Notified Date

This transaction adds a Claims Department Notified date in a Delayed Bag File.

Menu: Passenger > Delayed Bag > Handover Files

  1. Enter the Delayed Bag File reference and click Display File.

  2. Select a date and enter free text in the Extra Information field.

  3. Click Update.

Add Claims Information to Multiple Files

This transaction quickly adds Claims information to multiple files (Delayed, Damaged, and On-Hand Bag) without having to open each file.

Menu: Miscellaneous > Claims Entry

  1. Select the file type and enter a file reference.

  2. Enter the relevant information:

    • Sent to Claim/Disposal (the Claims Notified date)

    • Baggage Inventory Claim Form (BICF) sent and received

    • Currency and amount of the claim as reported by the passenger

  3. Click Add another file and repeat steps 1 to 2.

  4. Click Update.
